     Courses offered:

  1. Safe Sport for Athletes  

    • This course is designed for athletes 12-17 years old and will cover:

      • The basics of Safe Sport; understanding the three types of boundaries; and what to do if you or someone you know is being harmed.

    • Parents and coaches can use the facilitation guide in the course to open up a conversation about Safe Sport and healthy boundaries. ​​​

  2. Parent's Guide to Misconduct in Sport  

    • Parents are a critical component to our overall goal of protecting children from sexual abuse. This free course educates parents on recognizing, responding to, and preventing abuse and misconduct in their child's sport setting. Parents will come away equipped with information and tactics to minimize risks of harm to their children. 

      To start the course: 

      • Log in to your USA Swimming Dashboard:  https://hub.usaswimming.org/
      • Click on the Education tab at the top-right and go to the Course Catalog
      • Select the Parents/Volunteers icon
      • Find the course titled: Parents Guide to Misconduct in Sport and select "View Info" to start the course
  3. Prevent Bullying

    • ​​This course will teach you the definition of bullying, how it shows up in the swimming environment, and ways you can maintain a healthy and positive environment on the pool deck.
